Scholarship Opportunity

The Rennard Strickland School of Tribal Law and Criminal Justice at Bacone College is pleased to offer scholarship funding to cover any student in a State (all 50, D.C. and territories) or the National High School Mock Trial Championship who has a 3.0 GPA or higher  and an interest in law. Annual tuition is $10,910 per academic year, and this is the amount that will be awarded as a scholarship. The baseline admission requirements for Bacone College are found in the Catalog.

We look forward to hosting the 2012 National Championship in Albuquerque and have planned some exciting events for those who are attending.

On Thursday, May 3, there will be a Student Reception and Pin Exchange, where guests will be treated to a traditional New Mexican buffet dinner. Each team is encouraged to bring 500 or so lapel pins or other state-specific items for their student team members to trade with others.

On Friday, May 4, there is an invitation-only Judges' Reception in the Celebration Garden of the Albuquerque BioPark. Transportation to and from the hotel to the BioPark and Old Town and back to the hotel will be provided for our out-of-town guests.

Also on Friday, May 4, students can show off their singing skills at Karaoke Night at the Hyatt.

On Saturday, May 5, there is an Awards Gala, including a dessert bar and dance. At the Gala, awards  for Outstanding Witnesses and Attorneys (as determined by the judging panels) will be presented, along with team trophies (and individual awards for each team member) of those placing in the top ten.
